The ID Cards Bill has just passed its Third Reading. More than half of our elected representatives - 368 - abstained from voting on it.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. I hope that those politicians who couldn't be bothered to turn up and vote to protect our long-cherished liberty, which is gravely threatened by this illiberal and dangerous legislation, and which they have a duty to defend, will soon be made to pay the price of their dereliction at the ballot box.
